So I'm writing a short story for my Language Arts class.
It's about this girl Katie, and the story is told from her perspective. Katie is the most popular girl who's rich and gets everything. But what no one knows is that she is abused at home by her drunk of a mom. To deal with this, Katie bullies a girl at her school, May. One day, after a particularly horrible day at school, May goes home and kills herself. Katie finds out and almost breaks down and kills herself. She explores how she had ended someone's life. She is depressed for weeks, months. She finally goes to therapy to deal with this. She is nice from everyone from then on, and swears to never hurt anyone else ever again. She goes around to different schools, telling her story and why you should never hurt anyone else, whether physically or emotionally. She doesn't want kids to make the mistakes she made and live with the same burden she does. Katie keeps May in her life and never forgets her.
