I don't expect much,
(But please just read.)
About 4 years ago my little cousin, Deneza, died with a brain tumor at
7 years old. She fought intensely hard from 2000 - 2007. Even though
she couldn't pronounce words specifically, she still went to school with
a big smile on her face, ready to show the world what she could do.
About every week, she'd go to the hospital to check the tumor out.
Whenever the doctors would take it out, the brain tumor just kept
coming back. Her last month was the worst of all. She lost all her hair,
she couldn't talk anymore, and she couldn't walk.
From August 12-25,
She began to lose her senses.
One night, I called her. Even though she couldn't respond, I knew
that she was saying that everything will be okay.
The next day, she stopped hearing.
Next day, she couldn't see.
One day, I came home from school to see my mom in tears.
"MOM! What's wrong?"
"It-It's--"
"Deneza! Is she okay?"
"No, Honey.. She's gone."
In those four simple words, part of me died.
For this little girl with a big spirit, could I get just a few faves to raise awareness about brain tumors.
