high school sucks because you spend all 4 years trying to figure out which friends are genuine and as soon as you realize who your real friends are, you graduate

so my mom just told me that my amazing math teacher ran into her today and she wanted to let me know that she fought for me all summer to be able to have half my credits so I have a chance to graduate. She wanted to tell me she knows I can do it. That might not seem like a big deal, but it really is. She's amazing.

Is it bad for me not to be upset about not graduating with my class the same day?
Yeah, when i see them post pictures and stuff, i'll be a little sad.
But it's not affecting me in way.
I am graduated soon, so i don't see why i should be sad.
I went homeschooled in the beginning of the year for many reasons.
And i have to say, it was a good choice for me.
If i was still in school, i would be ditching.
I would be failing.
So, i'm working my own pace.
Also, i kind of take care of my mom.
I take her doctor appointments and what not.
So why be in school, if i just wouldn't be there.
I should be done with school soon.
Maybe not the same day as the rest of the others.
But i will graduate.
It's just taking me more time than others.
And i'm okay with that because i know i'm going to finish.

So my little brother graduated from 8th grade tonight and I slipped him $20 and said congrats but on the inside I was thinking about how proud I was of him and basically I was doing my moms job
