This poem was written by an eight grade boy.
Our Generation
Our generation will be known for nothing
Never will anybody say,
We were the peak of mankind.
That is wrong, the truth is

It's almost 4:30 in the morning, and I'm still up. Wanna know why? I'm sitting here, wondering why I let some boy get the best of me. Why am I hung up on one guy who doesn't even realize that he's the biggest part of my life? It's honestly pathetic of myself. I know damn well I should just go with what's better, but better isn't him. I'm not happy, I'm just content with my life. He holds the key to my happiness. I'm put on a damn shelf for later, and he controls me.
And what's worse, is that everyone around me knows I don't need him. My head knows I don't need him, but heart is so in love with him.
