    Reckless & Stupid
    Chapter 1; Part 1
The drive back was too quick. The weekend had been so fun!
My dad stood in the doorway waiting for me. He had a newspaper in one hand and a coffee mug in the other. Was he waiting for me? He never pays any attention to me unless he tells me to either shut up or go away. "See you Tay." I smiled. I wore 'nice clothes' again. I got out of the car and grabbed my bag from the car boot. I watched as Taylor drove away. Taylor's reputation was what I wanted mine to be. She was cool and popular. She wasn't a teacher's pet but she got good grades. She liked to go and party but she wasn't labelled anything bad either.
"Hey Daddy. I missed you." I said in my most innocent voice. Even though I wasn't.
My dad grabbed my arm as I walked past, spinning me to face him. "We need to talk, now." He growled. Damn, he was angry. I pulled my arm free and took my bags upstairs, locking the door behind me so nobody could get in my room when I was 'talking' with my dad.
I walked down the stairs and saw my mum sitting on the sofa, her eyes were slightly red. Had she been crying? "Mum are you okay?" I asked rushing to her side to comfort her. "Oh Sofia Marie Johnson, I-I just..." she sobbed
“ Mum?” I asked again, much more worried. It isn’t often I would see my mum cry.
“Clara, don’t worry” my dad soothed. My mum nodded.
“So, what are we talking about and why is mum crying?” I asked, giving mum a worried glance.
“The other day, if one of my friends asked me about my daughter I would’ve said; Sofia Marie, my perfect child. Perfect grades, perfect attendance, would never lie, would never be disrespectful to anyone. She’d never do anything stupid or reckless. An innocent, good, smart young lady and I would’ve said that this community is lucky to have her.” I had a feeling about where this conversation was going. There were two paths, either my parents were going to give me ‘the talk’ even though I am 17 and my friends already went over it with me. Or, somehow, they found out what really happened when I ‘went to Taylor’s to study’, which is really unlikely, so ‘the talk’ here I come!
“Sofia, we trusted you!” my dad said, his voice rising a little.
I gave a questioning look. I don’t remember this part in ‘the talk’
“What are we talking about again?” I asked. Seriously though, they wouldn’t have found out. We made sure no one would snake on us.
“You know Sofia, you know exactly what we are talking about.” My mum sobbed.
“Study, STUDY!” my dad muttered first, and then shouted.
“You lied Marie, you lied to us. To me, your father, to your neighbours. Everyone” my mum said, tears dripping down her face.
“What? I haven’t lied to everyone!” I said, my temper rising a little now to. The problem with me and my temper is that I have my dad’s temper. So when we argue, we bring the house down.
“There you go again. Lies, lies, lies!” my dad said
“Tell me.” I stood up, I am the same height as my dad. ”Go on; tell me what I lied about then. Hmm?” I asked, my eyebrows raised and my hands on my hips. Oh god, I had gone diva!
