I once knew this litte girl.
(S)he was blonde and bright eyed.
Wore glass and always loved to read.
Before her time and happy as ever.
Her dad her best friend, and two (o)thers as well.
She grew up in a world without so(me) perks.
(O)ne day, he best frie(n)d died un(e)xpecttedly.
She had no idea what this meant.
Just figured he was on a long vaction.
He would soon return.
He never did return.
They day she realized, he world turned.
S(h)e wasn't too happy anymore and didn't have a best friend.
Even the other two soon walked out on her.
She grew up in a lon(e)ly world.
Fought with her mother and sister.
Her dogs and books were all she had left.
That little gir(l), isn't so little anymore.
She's eighteen now and she's still scared as ever.
Going off to college and her dogs won't be there.
Every time she cares about someone, they leave.
She gets along with her mother and sister now.
But now she battles a war against herself.
She's smart enough not to drink, smoke or cut her (p)roblems away.
But locking them up inside her sin't the way to go either.
She wishes someone would help her.
But she doesn't accept that she need help.
So she beco(me)s more scared as ever as days go by.
And all she can wish for is
to be that little (p)eppy girl with that blonde hair and blue eyes again.
She had no cares in the wor(l)d then.
I wish I could b(e) th(a) little girl again.
But that girl is long gone now.
All I can do is make the future better than my pa(s)t and pr(e)sent.
