Comparing yourself to another person or a picture is setting yourself up for feeling bad. because you are basically saying you are not good enough as you are, right now....People post thinspiration and all that, and think its motivating them to change....actually what it is doing is destroying any individuality and sense of self worth you have, if your self esteem is already low, complaining that you hate yourself or that you are fat, or wishing you looked like another person or a picture, is automatically going to make you feel like crap.....I wish people could just look at themselves in the mirror and say "I like myself, I look good today, I really like this certain thing about myself" But i understand that is hard to do......

This explains how messed up people are:
Post a message explaining how eating disorders kill people-it gets some attention (it has to be written a certain way, I suppose, for people to really notice it-Apparently, if there is no girl or skinny or sad person in the photo, its not worth getting attention)
Post a picture of a thin, depressed girl looking with the words or mention of "eating disorder, weight, or anorexia" it get instant attention and reactions from people...This just proves more people view eating disorders as a diet, a trend, a weight loss method, something physical, not mental, something glamouros and even something to be admired.....this is why society is sick..People really suffer with eating disorders, right now-people are dying from them. People are getting turned away from treatment and help. People are getting shamed. Stop being so self centered, and treating eating disorders as though they are cute! do people honestly think having a mental disorder that can kill a person, is cute?

.Using pictures to motivate yourself to lose weight is completely stupid. Your not going to get someone else's genetics (what determines the size and frame of your body) or their metabolism (what determines how much or fast your body burns calories) by looking at pictures...you cannot copy someone else's metabolism, genetics, bone structure, height, or weight.....it makes me sad how pictures of impossibly skinny or fit women have so much influence on people
