   Yesterday marked 1 year.
   1 year ago I decided to quit cutting. i can proudly say I did it.
   Yes, I thought about going back to my old ways over and over again but there was this little voice in the back of my head saying "it gets better." To be completely honest, it does get better. It sounds so cliche but theres so much you haven't done or seen.
   Throughout my first clean year I learned to love, to laugh, to smile for real, to handle my stress and bad days in healthy ways.
   So if you read this just know that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, it may be dim or barely there now but keep pushing hard and trying your best and that light will shine bright.
   Never give up.

   i went through a phase where i slept with socks on, so the cuts on my feet and ankles didnt bleed on my bed. i slept with socks on last night and boy, did the memories come flooding back.
