Rosie Veranda cares too much for whatever she is doing. she is a perfectionist. she fixates on a subject until it is exactally the way she wants it. she makes everything perfect (in her own mind). her family has taught her to stay above the influence and stay clean. she has never had a boyfriend because she doesn't think dating is aproprate in High School. eventhough every guy would kill to be with her, she digresses. everyone loves her quriky smile and happy-go-lucky atittdue. she doesnt have a care in the world. she studies hard and focuses on friends and family and that is all. her long blonde hair annd blue-grey eyes are ideal for any girl and she has them. there is nothing in the world that could bring her down. she stands tall and charges her dreams. she is perfect and she wants to make everything around her perfect.
then she meets Michael Longo. he is only in 8th grade. he is wild, and free. he smokes and drinks and doesnt care for anyone. he does what he wants and leaves it at that. he isnt cared for at home. his mother is a drunk and his dad is high all the time. mike has two brothers tha could care less for him. he is short and has hazle coloured eyes and hair. his smile is bright but his future isnt if he stays on the path he has chosen for himself. "im a good person stuck in a messed up situation"
when they meet at a friends bon fire, they become more than friends. rosie isnt really convinced that he is sutible in anyway. Mike, on the other hand, falls head over heals. he is speachless around her and loves everything about her. mike shows macy a new side of himself that no one has ever seen before. around people he acts different than the way he acts around her. he is kind and sweet. he is gentle with rosie's fragile heart. when he is with his friends, he is mean and rude. rosie believes that he is a good person but wants to bring that out.
Will Rosie learn to trust Mike and accept who he is?
