This was it. This was going to be the year. Senior year, prom year. I was going. I got the dress. I got the date. I even got the tickets. I was excited. This was going to be the first time that I had someone to dance with during the slow songs. I was going to have fun. Then he texted a week before the dance. He ditched me.

Uhm pretty sure that's not true. Pretty sure that person just keeps on living their life not even thinking twice about ditching you. Pretty sure I'm the one who always keeps thinking about that time they left me. Pretty sure I'm the one who keeps getting hurt. Not them.
