I kinda want to be a teacher.
Have the chance to connect with
the students that aren't that popular,
and are teased by everyone else.
The ones that seem so sad.
Popular kids are usually every
teacher's favorites, but I wouldn't
want it to be that way. I want to
pay attention to the ones that
everyone writes off and ignores.
I think it'd be really special to help
kids that think they're worth nothing
understand that they're capable of
anything and are worth so much more
than they give themselves credit for.
Give them hope for the future.
Reassure them that no matter how
horrible it is, high school doesn't last
and everything will be better after.
I know that all that probably sounds silly,
but if wasn't for my math teacher I'd
never return to school. I'm going to
graduate two years late, but that's better
than completely giving up on my life
like I was planning on doing if it wasn't for her.
I want to be that for someone else.
