    Being a Cheerleader:
*Cheer as hard as you can.
*Be the best at what you do.
You don’t think you are doing good?
    Remember;
There is a little girl watching you.
She thinks you are great, and wants to be just like you!
    So...
Be the example she needs you to be.

    Hey guys,
So this may not mean anything to you, but I think I am going to quit cheer tomorrow. I know this may seem like nothing, but being on cheer almost made me feel wanted...almost. Last year, I was on Varsity and this year I am not. I am not with my friends and am a junior on a jv team. The only junior. I feel like I am not good enough and I know it's all about working hard and stuff, but right now I don't think it's worth it. I am literally crying over this right now and I really need some guidance. Help a fellow wittian out?
    Love,
    Ali

If cheerleading is considered a sport then why isn't going to a punk rock concert?
I've done both and got a hell of a lot more excersize at the concert.

I'm laughing so hard because earlier today a bunch of geese flew over me,
my friends who coach with me, and the girls I coach. All the girls were freaking out so we were all like, "Girls don't worry. If a bird poops on you, it's good luck." and then a goose pooped on one of my friends and omfg I'm screaming

team. So, all the girls on the team are about 9 & 10 and they were talking about boys and they all brought up how one girl on the team has had a bunch of boyfriends and I'm almost 16 and I haven't even had a boyfriend and what is this?

    It was a good day.
    She was feeling confident,
    happy,
    normal.
She was getting along with her family,
She was joking around with her teammates,
    She was even sincerely laughing.
    Eventually her smile dropped,
and her eyes fell to the ground,
trying not to look anyone in the face,
    or let any tears fall.
    "What happend?"
Asked the girl next to her.
"Nothing, it just always happens like this."
    "What?"
"It's just, right when I'm feeling perfectly fine,
someone always has to ruin it,
    has to put me down,
    make me feel worthless.
As if nothing I do is right,
and all my hardwork is bullsh*t."
    But there's a twist.
The girl never asked her what happened,
She never even noticed she was upset,
All because she didn't drop her smile,
let her eyes fall to the ground,
    or hold back any tears..
All becuase she became all too fimiliar with this feeling.
    She became numb to herself.
    She was hurting,
but hurting way too much to feel anything.
She kept that smile on her face,
and her eyes on her team,
    and her tears back,
but only until she got home,
and was locked in her room.
Only then will she let out her emotions.
None of this would have happened,
If only society could look past a few extra pounds,
or a girl without a thigh gap,
or a girl who isn't completly caked in makeup,
    for a workout nonetheless.
    She would think she's ugly,
    when in reality,
    It's society that is ugly.

I loved it. It was my thing. I couldn't wait for the season to start, and cried everytime it ended. I never did it competetively, but I wish I had. We couldn't make that type of time committment with my brothers schedules. I put everything into it. If I had a bad day, then I yelled louder, clapped harder, and moved tighter. Even when other girls were crying over the excessive conditioning, I kept on smiling. It sounds stupid, I know, but I loved it. I still do. I wish I could still do it. My only bet now is to jr. coach next year. But my mom doesn't want to let me. Because then she has to drive me back and forth. You don't understand how badly I want to do this. I need this. I need it back. I close myself in my room and just go back in time, redo cheers and moves. Make up routines and cheers for our old team. No one understands how much I miss it....

    Confession
I love soccer, but I love cheerleading/gymnastics more. If I could, I would do those again over soccer. But they're all so thin and pretty and a lot more advanced than me, so I can't. I'll just be the second-string soccer player, truck some thin b//tches back on defense, and let down my team. Ya know. ;p

For the past three months i have been a part of your team. I was new and it was hard for me to learn what all of you do and thank you for accepting me onto your team. Although it was difficult to adjust to all the hard work that was required it wasnt imposible. no body besides us really know how much work we all have put into the last three months and for most of you it was six months. It doesnt matter what place we got we are all winners in my mind. But it did feel amazing to place in 1st and 2nd both two times and to beat them in their competion. Through the smiles sweat and tears I am so glad that I joined the team and got to be a part of this team. And now the season is over but I never want to leave this sport and all of you. You all are like a part of my family now and i never would want to do anything else. Thank you i love you all like my sisters!!!
