There is nothing quite
as intense as a moment of clarity when you suddenly see what is
really possible for you. I got my moment of clarity working with an
amazing little girl named Riley. Riley has Autism but Autism does
not have Riley. I have never seen this little girl with a frown on
her face. She fully understands that she is different but she
doesn’t let it rule her life. Her favorite thing to say is
“God makes things perfect so that has to include me.”
The fact that she can speak this with clarity is due to the Speech
Pathology and Language department at Nationwide Children’s
Hospital. This little girl is one of thousands that are helped by
this program. I want to be like the therapists who helped Riley and
got her where she is today. For me to do that I need to attend one
of the top colleges for speech pathology and audiology, and that
college is Miami University.Under this is a link for people to vote
