The other day I was at the park sitting on the bench and this 10 year old boy with special needs comes up and sits by me and just starts talking. He talked differently and wasn't all there. I just listened and he told me jokes and I laughed because they were funny. He was showing me tricks he learned and told me about his day. Something about being with him made me feel like I belonged. He didn't judge me and he didn't care what I looked like. I talked to him a little bit and he had this huge smile on his face. He was the happiest boy in the world even though he had special needs. His personality made him so special. All of a sudden his mother came and told me that she was looking for him and apologized for him bothering me. I told her that he didn't bother me at all he actually made my day better. I told her that he is so special and one of a kind. Your son made my day a while lot better and he have me hope. Then she said well I honestly never saw my son smile as big as he is now. Everyone judges him and no one gets to know him he gets teased everyday. Then she looked at me straight in the eyes and said you know what amazes me. He never let's it bother him and he is nice to everybody. But you talking to him and treating him with respect means a lot to me. Im so glad theirs still people like you out in this world. She asked for my numberso I could go over one day and play with him. That day I met a new friend and he gives me hope and changed my life
