Behind his perfect smile,
His soft, kind eyes,
The laugh that gives me butterflies,
He’s hurting.
He doesn't even want to be alive.
With slim white scars,
Up his wrists,
Beaten by his father’s fists,
He’s perfect.
But he has nothing left to give.
He’ll never see how perfect he is,
Never know how much I need him,
Won’t understand that he’s the
only
Thing that keeps me holding on.
They don't see the hope in his eyes,
Don't get that he’s beautiful,
Even when he cries,
He doesn't know that he’s the reason
why.
He hides his pain,
Beneath long sleeves,
All he wants to do is leave,
This city.
He doesn't want them to see.
His mother screams,
About his grades,
Not pleased even when he gets straight A’s,
He’s tired.
He’s hoping for a change.
Pretty Please Don't Jock, super
appreciate it
