"I don't want to go to
school!" I whined tossing and turning my body on the soft
cloud of my bed. I dreaded going to school. I was new here and no
one knows me. Its also a prep school and I'm the only girl
with unaturally colored hair there and I get many looks and
snickers throughout the day.Today I just felt exhausted from it
all and I wasn't going to endure much more of it. I think my
only friend was my art teacher who, unlike my other preppy
teachers, was freaking wild. His name? Mr. Ryans but he's
known to us as Brooks because he's got a strong brooklyn
accent. This guy stood up on tables just to teach, he let his
students roam around the "vast universe and parallel
universes of art...even todays crappy modern art.." then
he's go off about how a "Pile of Bricks" was not
art, its a pile of bricks.
But today not even he could incline me into going to school. Too
tired, too stress, too feels-y. My mom came in
worried,"Honey, whats wrong?"
"I don't want to attend school
today, mother." I retorted.
"You do understand that you should go to class,
right?"
"Uh yeah. I just am too tired of life right now."
There was a short pause,"Then come to work with
me."
I jerked my head up from my pillow,"What.."
She nodded,"Get dressed, we're going to be
late."
"But Mom! --"
"Not butts, natalie. If you don't want to go to school,
you could at least help some little kids out." she
interupted
Without a word, I got up and stormed into the bathroom without a
word. Just as i was about to shower my mom voice chimed from
behind the door.
"Thank you honey!"
"Yeah whatver."
