I washed my face, and redid my makeup before we went to see
Mr. Matthews.
I grabbed my bag, threw it over my shoulder, and walked towards
Mr. Matthew's room.
Before we got to the door I turned to her, and said "Mrs.
Bell, there might be a lot of things said here that you can never
repeat. Promise?"
She looked at me kinda nervous once I said that, but she said
"Promise."
She grabbed my hand and we walked into Mr. Matthew's
room.
The moment he saw me he stood up like he was happy to see me, but
when he saw Mrs. Bell his happiness retreated.
"Hello, Jaynd, Mrs. Bell." he greeted.
"Hi." Mrs. Bell chimed in.
She was still holding onto my hand like I always imagined my mom
would.
"We need to talk." I announced sternly.
"With Mrs. Bell in the room?" Nate asked.
"I can leave." she volunteered.
"No. She's staying."
"Jady-" he started but I cut him off.
"What? To afraid to have this talk now? Ten minutes ago you
wanted to talk." I said.
"Wait. You're the reason she cut herself?" Mrs.
Bell asked.
"She did what?" he asked, looking scared.
Mrs. Bell grabbed my arm and pulled up my shirt sleeve showing
off my fresh, and old cuts.
"Jadyn...Why?" he asked.
I walked out and I shouldn't have. Because you're
the first person I've ever loved. It's scary. I loved my
mom, she walked out. i loved my dad, he abused me. Nate, I've
been through so much, I can't handle admitting I love someone
again. You were just supposed to be another one night
stand." I said, tears rolling down my cheeks.
"Jadyn." he said.
"I walked out on Hannah the other night. God, that tore me
apart. I love you both so much." I whispered.
"Wait, you guys are like, together?" Mrs. Bell
asked.
I looked at her, "I'm sorry. I know, I shouldn't
have said anything infront of you. You're probably
disappointed, and going to get Nate fired." I looked at
Nate, "I'm sorry."
Mrs. Bell smiled, "Jadyn, I've always thought of you
like my daughter. I won't say anything. I promised,
didn't I?"
I was so happy she wouldn't say anything about this, that I
hugged her and cried.
She hugged me back, and started to cry.
I looked at her, "Do you really think I'm your
daughter?"
"We'll talk about this later, when we go over to
Nate's for dinner. kay?" she asked.
"yeah." I said turning to Nate.
"I love you." he said smiling at me.
"I love you, too." I said, hugging him. "this time
I don't take it back."
