One day you will find someone who will fall in love with
everything about you
the way
you scrunch your eyebrows together and nibble the end of your pen
when you can’t think, the way you pronounce “o”
and the little shape your mouth forms when you say it, the way you
always tuck that strand of hair behind your ear, the way you close
your eyes when you laugh, the way you blush, the way you smile.
They’ll fall in love with you and your obsessions and make
everything minute thing about you into something extraordinary
simply by loving it completely and unconditionally. And yes, you
might have to wait a while before you find them, because
they’ll fall in love with everything about you bit by bit and
then, and only then, will they draw you close and tell you.
Because that's what true love is:
patience.
