It depends on if you think this relationship is going to last long or not. If it is then you should leave it alone and let your friend have him. But if you don't think it will then you should go after him the first chance you get when they break up.

If I was in ur condition then I would like be nice around him and be myself. Dont act different around him but treat him like a good friend. If you really like him then you should just try and admit your feelings to him. Maybe he secretly likes you.
Thats what I'll do. But if he doesnt like u but u really do care for him then he is not worth it. It's his loss.
