after 9/11 airport security has become a lot stricter. chances are the person would be arrested and or fined heavily.
being romantic is hard these days :(

But if you think about it
you'll be wasting hundreds of dollars depending where your flight is going to
plus I seriously doubt you get refunds for plane tickets if you miss your flight
