So she did, knowing she would only get the role of probably
Madame Morrible or Nessarose. After all auditions were over Don
came out smiling again with a sheet of paper.
“Okay, you guys after much considerations we made our main
cast list, so the mostly dancing role of Elphaba’s mother
will go to Eloise, our dancer of eight years. Chistery, the
flying monkey will be played by Eddie. Doctor Dillamond, the
professor will be played by Darryl. Boq, the munchkin will be
played by Jon. Nessarose, Elphaba’s sister will be played
by, Allison. Madame Morrible, the teacher, will be played by
Mallory. The Wizard will be played by Matt. Fiyero will be played
by Aaron. Glinda The Good will be played by Rae. And Elphaba The
Wicked Witch of the West will be played by
Melrose.”
Melrose was stunned. She couldn’t imagine this Eloise ran
up and hugged her. Suddenly Eddie burst out,
“Are you kidding I’ve been here 7 years and I’m
a monkey while this new kid is Fiyero!!!”
“Well, actually Aaron here has been over seas the past two
years, but he has attended this camp many times before usually
playing the male lead in the older groups performances when they
needed shorter or younger leads.”
“Oh.”
“Yes, so anyways, what I want tonight is for Aaron, Rae,
Melrose, Jon, and Allison to hang out at the campfire by
themselves so they can develop some chemistry for their romantic
parts.” So they went out to the campfire, Rae smiled and
said, “Hi guys, well for clarification purposes, I’m
in love with Aaron, but him and Melrose are in love, Jon you are
in love with me but pretend to be in love with Allison because
she is in love with you. But, I think to form chemistry we should
all just hang and talk.” Everyone agreed and sat down. Rae
sat down next to Aaron, when Melrose saw them next to each other
she knew they looked like the perfect couple. Rae with her long
straight blonde hair and bangs, with her her blue eyes and
freckles. Then with Aaron with his shortish light brown hair and
dark grey eyes. Melrose decided that sitting next to Aaron would
just be awkward so she just sat where she was comfortable, next
to Eddie. Now, Eddie wasn’t ugly, but he wasn’t
overly gorgeous either. he was a happy medium and everyone know
he liked Melrose, what she didn’t know was if she was
willing to settle.
