Tell Me A Lie
~Chapter 16~
There's a knock on the door, me being the only one home, as always, I run downstairs, a granola bar in my hand. I open it and my mouths drops. "Niall," I breathe. "Please tell me that's not all you're eating this days," He smiles sweetly. "Don't worry, there's food in the kitchen," I laugh, inviting him in. "I thought you said there was food," He complains, searching my cabinets. "I do eat Niall, I just eat healthy," I laugh again. "How've you been?" I ask him while he tries to read a label on a box. "Same old stuff," He shrugs. "Right, the boring life of a teenage heart throb," I laugh. "Yup," He shrugs again. I know I won't be able to get his attention so I just suggest I make him something instead. "Want some mac'n'cheese?" I ask. He nods, so I start to prepare his meal.
While I make his macaronni, he talks to me. "It's been a bit since I've seen you, wanted to catch up," He shrugs. "You mean you wanted to check on me," I say seriously. His face says it all, but his mouth says it anyways, "You caught me. But seriously, how are you? Have you been okay?" He asks, concern written on his face. "I still see Dr. Greene, but not for my eating disorder anymore," I shrug. "Why?" He asks as I set down a big plate in front of him. I sit down and sigh, "I'm messed up Niall," I shrug. "How?" He asks while chewing some orangey gooey cheese.
"Well, for starters, I go everyday watching the only boy I've ever loved living out his dream knowing I'll never be a part of his life," I whisper. He doesn't say anything, he just stares into his mac'n'cheese, like it knows all the right things to say. "And to make it worse," I continue. "I have to hear everyone say it was the right thing for me to do, and I keep thinking, if it was the right thing, why does it hurt so bad?" I whisper. He doesn't look at me. I don't mention the friends with benefits thing I have with Dylan. He doesn't need to hear some things.
"Look, there's another reason I wanted to see you," He whispers, fiddling with his spoon. "We're going on tour, a long one this time, almost a year," He mumbles. "I know that," I whisper. "I keep up with everything," I say, finally looking at him. This makes him smile. "Well, I came to say good bye Taylor." He says softly, grabbing my hand. I yank it away, "We've already said good bye once, we don't need to say it again." I snap, grabbing his dish and throwing it in the sink. He grabs my arm and makes me face him, our chests almost touching. Our lips are centimeters apart, when he talks, his breath is warm on my lips.
"I want to do it right this time," He whispers.
Then he kisses me.
And everything I've ever felt in the past year or so it poured into that one little kiss.
And even though I know it'll kill me later, I don't even try to stop it.

Taylor is still seeing Dylan to hook up, but Niall comes back around and reminds her of how much she really loves him, what do you think? Team Dylan or Team Niall? Was it wrong for Niall to kiss her like that then leave her? Love you all!
