My 4 year old self walked into ballet class
with my mom. I heard all the other mom's talking, like a
bunch of High School girls at lunch. I remember looking back as I
stepped into dance class, unknowning what was realing happening
only 2 hours away from my own home. I remember finishing class
and walking to the car in my leotard and little ballet skirt.
I remember sitting in my green car seat hearing things on
the radio about bombs, people dieing, buildings falling to the
ground in New York City. I got home and I remember seeing things
on the TV a little girl just can't forget. Building being
crushed, planes, people crying, and people dieing.
At that point in time, I didn't understand what was happening
but now looking back in time, it all clicks. I am a teenage girl
who wants to cry when I hear about 9/11.
Say a pray for those who died, and for those
who risked their lives trying to save
others.
