Chapter 7
Jamie's P.O.V

I walked into my Geometry class and sat down. I thought of Allie. She was so nice, she was so cute... She was gorgeous. And She got me. Other girls just wanted me for my body, but Allie, she wanted me for me. The thought brought me warmth, and I couldnt help but to smile. I stood up, and walked to the pencil sharpener, at the first movement of the Earth, I thought I had just lost my balance, but I should've known better. I didnt know until I heard people scraming, that it was an earthquake. I stood frozen with fear. I heard the teacher screaming for me to get under a desk, but her word passed straight through me. I tried to move, but my feet felt as if they were glued to the floor. By the time I had finally realized the situation, I was too late. A tall metal bookcase fell onto my helpless body. The first thing I felt was fear. I tried to push the shelf off me, but it was too heavy, to heavy for me, and I was strong. I could feel myself screaming for help, but I couldnt hear it. The last thing I felt were the tears on my face, and the pain in my ears.

I woke up in a hospital bed, I looked down and saw my feet under the cover, then to my arm, which now had a white cast covering it, my favorite color, but the cast made me frown a bit then the doctor entered the room, I smiled. I tired to speak, but nothing came out. I mean, it felt like I was speaking, but it seemed as if.. I couldnt hear myself. I quickly tired again and this time to the doctor, 'Am I speaking?' The doctor nodded his head and it confused me, 'Why can I not.. hear myslef.. speaking?' He tried to smiled, but I could see the news was bad. He took a whiteboard from the end of my bed and wrote, 'James, there was an earthquake, and a book shelf fell on you.' I nodded and he erased the board, then began writing, 'It hit just the right spot on your head, and crushed your eardrums.' He showed me the board and I felt my cheeks heating up. He erased the board one last time and wrote, 'You will never hear again. I'm very sorry, you have visitors James, would you like me to send them in?' I nodded, I faintly saw him waving, because of the tears blurring my vision. The first people to come in were my mom and baby sister When they entered, I could see my moms puffy eyes, and I said, hoping I said it right, "It's okay mom, dont cry." She looked at me and said something to me, then when I didnt respond she quickly remembered and wrote on the board, "I know sweetie, it'll be okay. We'll get through this." I half smiled and I saw my sister Rosie talking away at me like always and I held back my tears. I smiled letting them know I was going to be okay. My mom kissed my forehead, and left, taking Rosie with her. I sat for a moment, until someone else walked in. I looked up and my eyes met with Beautiful blue ones, and I smiled, "Hey Alloe." I muttered, probably too loud, or not loud enough, I couldnt tell. She looked at me like I was broken, like I was fragile. I saw her mouth, 'Jamie', a single tear falling down her face. It broke my heart to see Allie cry. I tried to say louder this time, "Allie, dont cry." She looked at me but this time she leaned in and kissed me. I felt the warmth of her lips on my cold face, and I longed for it to last, but she pulled away and wrote on the board, 'I'm still your girlfriend?' I smiled and said, "Yes Allie. I love you."  She smiled as another tear fell from her gentle eyes, she wrote on the board, 'I love you too Jamie We're gonna get through this, I love you.' And my heart stopped pounding. I would never hear her say I love you again. The thought made my eyes tear up again, but before I could stop them, they were rushing down my face. Allie came to the side of my bed and grabbed my hand with her left hand, and wiped my tears with her right. I saw tears fall off her face and I whispered to her, "Kiss me Allie." my voice cracking. She looked into my eyes, and I saw her mouth say, "Ok". She leaned in and kissed me again. This time I pulled her closer with my good arm. Allie's tongue wiped my bottom lip before entering my mouth. We made out for about a minute until I felt Allie pull away and she looked at me again, smiling. I smiled, because hers was contagious. I read her lips as she said, 'I love you" And I quickly said back, "I love you too Allie. When I get out of this place, lets go on a real date ok?' She smiled and I could tell she was laughing, "Okay." She responded and then let go of my hand and left the room. I love Allie, and I was going to have to face my biggest fear now, which was everything that needed the ability to hear. But if I was going to face my fears, Allie was going to face them too. Starting, when I get out of this place!
Oh whoa  whoa whoa whoa! You have PERMISSION TO HATE ON ME! I'm so sorry! I totally just dropped off the face of the earth! SORRY! I have school now! :D Ahahhaaha! But I'll try to make time for Witty! Love you guys! Tell me whatcha think!
