♦PERFECTLY DEAF ♦

Chapter one

Alexis

      Everyone thinks I'm lucky. Lucky isn't even a start to how my life is. I dont hear the talk behind my back or the gossip, but that doesn't make me lucky. Sure I have friends and a family. That doesnt make me lucky. Everyday I'm called a freak. Told to kill myself. When I didn't do anything wrong.

    I took a deep breath and smelt freash pancakes. I walked downstairs not wanting to see my mothers face. Slowly I made my way to the kitchen table. She gave me a small smile and left. I sighed and took a pancake. When she came back she looked at me and ran back to her room. My dad had left for work hours ago. Being the only one at the table I let myself cry for the first time in months.

  When my mom came back down she looked at me for the first time and smiled "You ready for school?" 

"Really mom? You can't just be like that! Is it my fault YOU crashed the car?!?!"

she just looked at me.

"You know I haven't been able to cry to keep YOU sane. Well what about me? You made me deaf!"

"Lex it wasn't-"

"You know what no mom. You're not winning this time."

  With that I grabbed my bag and car keys and left. When I got to my car I texted my best friend Roxanne.

Alexis: Hey I'm on my way.

Roxanne: Okay I'll be ready.

         I closed my phone and started my car. I took a deep breath trying to clam myself and pulled out of the driveway.

*Three months ago*

"Is she going to be okay??" I asked again.

"It's the same thing we told you yesterday. We don't know."

I slamed my hands on the table. 

"How do you not know! Shes been here 6 months! HALF a year!"

"She has left and came back because she couldn't handle it."

"Well can I see her? She is my girlfriend."

"I don't thats a good idea." The doctor said trying to calm me down.

"WHY NOT YOU LET ROXANNE IN!"

"Fine but if you yell once I'm callin security in."

I saw her lying on the hosptial bed and ran over to her. 

"I'm sorry." I said hugging her.

       She pulled away and just looked at me and I knew why no one wanted me here. She became deaf. I sat down and put my head in my hands. "I love you." She wishperd. I looked at her took out my phone and typed. I love you to.
