Chapter Three
I walked in the diner, as I entered I got a few stares & a
few whispers. But being Cece Spark I was used to it. I walked up
to one of the waitresses.
I asked “May I talk to the boss, I
would like to apply for the waitress job”. I
didn’t think it would be too hard.
She walked away and came back with someone
named Connie. I guessed she was the boss.
Connie said “Peyton, said you wanted to
apply for the job”.
I simply just nodded and gave her a
smile.
“We’re going to have to see how
you do” Connie stated handing me a notepad & pen. She
pointed to the guy at the end of the corner. I walked over
putting my tote bag under the counter.
I walked over to him and said “My name
is CeCe, Are you ready to order?”
He looked up and I saw his big green eyes and
the smile that makes you melt.
“Yeah, I’ll have a hamburger
& a coke, CeCe.” He said.
There was something about the way he said my
name that made my heart melt. I jotted it down still
thinking about him.
My heart started beating like crazy, I was
afraid someone could hear it. I wanted to hug him so
badly.
I was still in my daydream till someone
bumped me from behind. It was Peyton. I wanted to do good
on my first day. So, I hurried up trying to catch my time. I put
in the most amazing boys’ order to the chef. While his food
was cooking he was texting someone. I figured it was his
girlfriend, considering how amazing he looked. I would never have
a chance with him.
