Chapter 6
Avalaya

''I can't believe you know Mr Peet. You're so lucky, isn't he just lush?'' Jo asked me whilst giggling. We were sitting in Mr Peet's class and I couldn't help the shivers running down my spine, remembering when they took my innocence. I was only ten, that shouldn't happen to any ten year old.  When the bell rung I hurried out of class. 

''Okay, have a good day,'' Aaron said. I waved and quickly walked out of the building. I wondered if Carson would take me back to his house, or would he be embarrassed going home with me? 

''Avalaya, let's go,'' Carson's voice boomed. ''Hurry up.'' I quickly got into his car and he drove off. He was embarrassed. I felt my heart sinking and felt tears brim my eyes. I was a freak. I only had a crush on Carson. How would I have a crush on Carson? I've known him for 3 days and we didn't talk all the much! ''How was school?'' Carson asked, softly. What? Was this guy bi-polar or something? ''Oh right, I forgot you couldn't speak.'' He sighed, ''Why can't you speak? Was their an accident or something?'' I nodded. ''An accident or something?'' I put two fingers up, indicating I meant the second one. ''Something? Like what?'' I shook my head, looking out the window. ''I'm trying here, it'd make my mum happy if I tried. How 'bout on the weekend I teach you how to ride the horses?'' he asked. I grinned and nodded my head enthusiastically. We got 'home' soon enough and we both got out of the car at the same time and entered the house. 

''How was school, Avalaya?'' Mrs Roberts asked once I had entered the house. I nodded my head, smiled and put my thumb up. I noticed the man sitting on the couch, that must be Mr Roberts. 

''Oh my, Avalaya, haven't you grown into a beautiful young woman. I've been told you were beautiful but wow. You look just like your mother when she was your age.'' 

''Uh, dad, she doesn't know who you are…'' Carson's voice trailed off. 

''Oh, my bad. I'm Caleb Roberts, Carson's father.'' 

''Dad, mum, we've got homework…'' 

''Okay, well go do your homework. Oh and Avalaya, your parents said your car should arrive later on tonight.'' I smiled but couldn't help but be a little disappointed that Carson wouldn't be taking me to school. 'Ava, he's a jerk and you've only been in the car with him once!' that little voice in the back of my mind told me. 

After dinner my car came and then around ten I went to my room to go to sleep. 

I was running, I was running away from him. He had killed so many people and I was next on his list. He caught up to me, he put his hands around my neck. ''Stop, stop!'' I cried out. 

''But you know the little secret, we can't have that happening can we?'' he asked, smirking. 

''No! No! P-please d-'' it was to late, the knife was already piercing through my skin. 

I woke up, shooting right up in mirror. I walked into the bathroom and washed my face. Carson entered the bathroom, ''Oh hey.'' I went to walk out of the bathroom but heard Carson. 

''Avalaya?'' I turned around. ''I'm sorry I was such a jerk.''

 Mr Peet is the guy from Avalaya's flashback. He is NOT the guy from the forest, she doesn't reconise the guy from the forest. I hope that helps! (:
