"But its not fair!" I yelled.
"Don't raise your voice, you lady," Mom said, calmly. "You're staying in California with your cousins, end of story."
"But why for the whole summer?!" I spat back, tears filling my eyes.
I stared at my mom. She opened her mouth, but I didn't let her say anything.
I spun around, screaming to her, "I don't wanna go!"
Silence.
Then I stopeed, hoping she changed her mind.
"You have a week to pack!" Mom called to me.
"UGH!!" I screamed, slamming my door.
I flopped onto my bed, tears streaming down my face.
I turned on my laptop, plugged the earphones into my iPod, and whipped out my phone.
I texted my best friends, Kat and Sierra.
Hey girls, sad news. My stupid mom is sending me off to California to spend time with my cousins. FOR THE WHOLE STUPID SUMMER.
A minute later, Sierra called me.
"Hold on, lemme get Kat," she said.
"Hello?"
Going 3-way, oh yeah!
