The New Kid

Lunch. The one time I don't feel like a complete loser because I'm with the few really good friends I have.
The thing is, Aaron and his group like to come make fun of me some times. But here, I have a body guard. I sit at the table nearest to where the Assistant Principal always stands during lunch, so if they come near me he'll stop them. But on days like this, he's too buissy to come to lunch, leaving me exposed. Tianna, Isabel, and Ella are my best friends. No, they're not fat rejects like me. They're skinny and super pretty. I wish I could look like them.
"Sid, aren't you gonna eat?" Isabel asked and the other two looked at me.
"Nah. I had a big breakfast." I lied. But they know me too well.
"Sidney." Isabel said, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm just not hungry." I say, lying once again.
"It's your favorite today, though. Shepard's Pie." Ella says, taking a spoonful of it and shoving it in her mouth.
"Not hungry." I repeat and sigh.
"Sid.. we're worried about you." Tianna said seriously, clasping a hand around my wrist. All eyes were on me. Ella was chomping on some shepard's pie, but her eyes told me she was serious.
"Guys, I'm fine. Really. What do you think's wrong with me?" I asked, starting to laugh to lighten the mood.
"Well... you are showing signs of anorexia nervosa..." Tianna said, all their faces still dead serious.
"Ti, I'm not anorexic." I say, confidently. "I'd never starve myself!" I insisted.
"Okay. We love you Sidney. We don't want anything bad to happen to you." Isabel said.
I smile. "Love you guys too."
