chapter twenty two

The hospital sucked, and as you can imagine not remembering anything was pure hell.
Niall never left the hospital, which I was really thankful for.
He was the best bestfriend ever.
Even if he has been acting a little strange.
I wonder what that's about.
My door creaked open, and I figured it was probably Niall, coming back from eating.
It wasn't.
Four very familiar boys crowded around my bedside.
"Hey Kylie, how are you?" Harry asked gently.
"I'm alright" I lied. I wasn't.
My head has been healing alright, but I can't remember anything.
"Babe, we feel horrible" Zayn said honestly.
"It's alright, I'm a trooper" I said bravely, "Niall's taking it worse than I am"
"We all knew he'd take it horribley" Louis nodded.
"Yeah, I don't know why he's so torn apart" I shrugged, "Did I miss anything important?"
The four boys looked at each other for a long time. Then, Liam took my hand.
"He didn't tell you?" Liam asked gently.
"Tell me what?" I asked, heart racing.
'Kylie.." Liam said softly, "You and Niall were dating"
I saw my heart race on the monitor increase.
"No!" I shouted, "You're a liar"
"Kylie no-" Harry started.
"I don't believe in love!" I screamed, "Stop lying to me!"
Then, the doctor ran in.
"You guys should probably come back when she calms down" He said.
The boys nodded and looked at me sadly as they walked out.
Once they were gone I grabbed my phone off of the bedside table. Surely if me and Niall had been together there would be pictures on my phone?
I gasped. A picture of Niall kissing me on the cheek, and me smiling like I'm the happiest girl alive was my most recent picture. I threw my phone back on the table. I can't look any further right now.
I pretended to be sleeping as Niall walked in.
"Oh Niall" My doctor said, "I need to talk to you"
"Yeah me too" Niall said, "Is her memory coming back?"
"There's no signs of it" The doc sighed, "But it could come back at any moment"
"Do you think it will?" Niall asked.
There was a long silence.
"I don't know Niall, I just don't know" The doctor said sadly.
He walked out of the room, and I peeked at Niall.
He was crying.
I don't want to make him cry.
Why can't I just remember?
