Cheerleaders....
What makes cheerleading a sport?
I say it's not
Softball,
try diving for a ball at least 9 times a games, getting cut
and not caring, not crying when you get hit by the ball
because it
'hurt'
Basketball, try going
to a practice. Now that is running. But what do we
do? live through it.
Not trying to dis it,
but what makes it a sport?

What makes it a sport? We fall 10 to 15 feet from the air and have to get up and do it again. Without complaining. So what you softball players get a few cuts from 'diving' for the ball? We also run at practice too. We are physicaly fit to be able to do some of the stunts we do and other things. You try Dancing, lifting people, Facials, all in a tight little uniform. You try doing the whole routine perfect over and over every time until comp. Im pretty sure we live through more than both your sports combined. Learn the sport before you judge.

What makes it a sport.? Try breaking your ankle in the middle of a routine and still having to continue the routine like youre perfictly fine.. try getting kicked in the face and pretending like it didnt hurt.. try falling 10-15 feet and getting right back up and doing the stunt again.. try all the gymnastics that is needed to do the sport. Then ask what makes it a sport. I've been a cheerleader for 11 years. I can agree that football cheer and basketball cheer is not a sport buuut, competition cheer is one of the most demanding sports there are.

This is a little after the point, but I love how all the cheerleaders point out all the harder stuff bout cheerleading, and the easy stuff bout softball. yes when you say "oh wow, hit a ball with a stick" that makes softball sound incredibly easy, but hun, unless you play tee ball or little leauge that ball is coming at you fast. And you need to time crap so the ball goes far, fast, and not foul. And each game is different, you got the same routine. Go from playing a team that you beat 51-1, to losing to a team 3-4. And who ever said that softball isn't a sport is pretty.freaking.stupid. because softball is some rough crap. yes, we have shorter practices but that might have something to with the fact you can only give so much, and it's freaking summer. it's hot out. Also, the whole we lift people, not weights. well that's great for you, woopdie freakin doo. but

Not hating, but people don't get how tough it is.
My coach keeps us up to an hour after practice if we don't have time to condition during practice. If we drop stunts we do pushups. We warmup for almost a half hour. I come home with broken blood vessels on my legs every day after practice. I've almost gotton a concussion about 10 times. I've thrown 15 feet into the air my girls twice my size and landed on the ground.

Cheer leading I doing splits in the air, numerous flips and jumps, balancing on people's hands from 15ft in the air look at a competition video. We fall we get up we keep going, there are no time outs or extra players, 1 mistake can cost u everything
