Rescue Me

Chapter 30
Noelle's POV

Eleanor dropped the heart and her eyes grew, she knew she said something she probably wasn't supposed to.  I took my eyes off of her and turned back to Zayn, he slowly brought his focus back to me and stood up.  "Come on." he picked up one of my hands, I stood up and  followed him, everyone kept talking.  He brought me into a spare room and he sat down on the couch, I walked around the room as he began talking.  "So, err, what Eleanor meant was that I'm sort of umm, a player."  I laughed, he tilted his head in confusion so I sat down next to him.  "Look, I don't really care if you're a player, considering I'm kinda a flirt." he laughed too and kissed me.  "I just don't want you to think that's why you're here, why we're here." he looked at me and shrunk to my height so our eyes met.  "Zayn," I breathed out smiling and pushed his hair, "if we just met tonight and we were here, and you tried to get me in bed I would think that.  But you've been my friend for a few weeks now, then you asked me out and didn't imply at all that you want to sleep with me.  The thought never even came to my mind that that's why we're here." I gave him a little have smile.  Suddenly his lips crashed into mine, a somewhat passionate, somewhat playful kiss was given.  After, we smiled, leaning our foreheads against each others.  "We should get back out there." he laughed pulling me back through the door.

"Zayn!  I think that was the fastest you've ever been!" Harry shouted and everyone laughed including us.  Coming off of my happy buzz, I decided to goof around a little, "Oh, you know." I smiled and rolled across Zayn to walk to Harry's side of the couch.  I sat down in between him and Niall, "But I'm sorry Harry, we should've invited you, we didn't mean to make you jealous." I slid, leaning against him.  "Burn!" Julia shouted and we all laughed.  "It's okay!  There's always next time."  I laughed, leaning farther back on the seat.  Suddenly, strong arms were wrapped around my waist, I was flipped over to the other side of Niall, landing on Zayn's lap.  "She's mine Harry, it's not happening." I laughed, and slid off his lap, but I laid my head against his shoulder and extended my legs onto Niall's.  He immediately started tapping my smooth legs like drums.

We stayed at the boys house for a while longer and goofed around.  At about ten-ish we started walking back to my house - Julia, Chase and myself.  I stood outside their door though, saying goodbyes, Zayn came up last.  We kissed for the last time that night, it was a longer kiss that was cut short by the boys who were hooting in the background.  I laughed, and he gave me a quick peck before I turned around and left.  "See you later." I turned to see Zayn's head calling to me out the window, "See you later." I turned and left officially this time.
