Detox is a great idea.
Apart from the fact that if people are following all the people who
normally get top quotes, they will still get loads of faves because
of all their followers. How is that supposed to
work? That means it's still not quite fair.
Just me who thinks this?

Ehh, followers are gonna fave quotes by people who they follow. But I don't just fave every quote that someone I follow posts.. I fave what I like. The whole "witty famous" stuff is stupid and not really real.
