Chapter 1

“Oh my gosh, Sevie! I’m gonna miss you sooo much! Have fun in brazil!” My friend Madeline shrieked. 

“Thanks Mads, i’ll miss you too!” I said while giving her a hug.
A chorus of goodbye’s and have fun’s were shouted at me as I passed through the hallways of this deranged place they call school.
Trence Middle School to be exact. I walked up to Miranda’s locker.

“Hey there stranger.” I said with a seductive wink.
It’s me and my best friends common greeting to each other.

“Waddup sexxayy?” She practically screamed at me.
This is our relationship. I couldn’t be less proud.

“Ha. Hurry up, I gotta get home! I leave tomorrow remember?” 

“Oh, don’t remind me! What am I going to do for 3 months? 3 MONTHS! Uh, I might as well stock up on chocolate ice cream and brownie mix. When you come back your best friend will be nothing more then a fat, depressed loser! You won’t even look twice at me!” She said oh so dramatically.
I chuckled in appreciation for her humor.

“Chill, you have Ahlana and Megan. And I’ll send pictures! Probably all of beautiful brazilian boys,” I said with just a hint of sarcasm in my tone.

“Bring me back one! Please! I can’t stand the ugly males in this school any longer.”

“Good, ‘cause in three months, we will be in high school. And then you can drool over all the attractive boys.” I said matter-of-factly.
We walked, talking about complete nothingness, passing all of our other friends. It took at least 10 minutes to get out of the school, due to all of the people saying goodbye to me. 

I was leaning on a bench near the cross walk, talking to some of my friends from dance class when I glanced over at the side door of the school.
A pack of nerds were walking out of the building.
I saw him.
He was laughing.
Oh, how I miss that laugh. And that smile.
And to think, that this time last year, he had held me in his muscular arms for the last time.
Our eyes met. I could feel my cheeks burn red as I quickly looked away.
I saw his eyes linger for a second longer.
I screwed up big time, I whispered to myself.
