My Dearest
Sierra,
I don't know
if you remember me. I was a big part of you life but that was a
long time ago. I actually haven't seen you since you were 6. My
name is Angie and I have called you my sister since you were a
baby.
I heard a couple
years ago that your mom thought I did some pretty awful things and
I think that's why she didn't want me to have contact with
you when I was trying. I want to tell you that none of the things
she believes are true and I am sorry she was misled. I'm sure
no one had ill intentions but that's what happens with gossip.
I would never do the things she was told because first and foremost
I have and will always love you so I would NEVER do anything that
would reflect negatively on you. Also, I'm just not that kind
of person in general.
Anyway, I really
wanted to reach out to you because I think of you often. I even
have a picture of us on my fridge still. I thought that if there is
someone in the world who is calling you their sister, you deserve
to know. I genuinely hope you are doing well and have a good home
life and good friends. You deserve it. There aren't many people
who experience the hardships you did at such a young age and I
respect your strength.
If you want to
keep in touch, nothing would make me happier. But if you are not
ready I will understand and support your decision. I guess I just
want you to know there is someone out there who loves you
unconditionally and is always there for you. You can contact me any
time through facebook, email (********83@gmail.com), or phone
520-***-****.
All my
love,
Angie
This is the message I got from my older sister on Facebook. I
haven't seen or talked to her since I was 6 and I always
thought she forgot about me... This message made my
night.
