Chapter 12
At that very moment, I felt so weak.
Tears were stinging in my eyes, threatening to spill out any
second.
Harry's blue green eyes looked at me with a pained
expression, as he opened his mouth to speak.
"Is this what you wanted to tell me?" I asked softly,
intentionally cutting him off.
Harry bit his lower lip, as he snuck a glance at Dani, who was
getting impatient.
"Yes." Harry whispered, hanging his head low in
shame.
"How long have you been together?" I asked, shooting
them a glare.
"Almost two years!" Dani piped up, wrapping her arms
around Harry's bare chest.
I gulped, as the first tear droplet fell out.
Harry and Dani have been together for literally two years.
I couldn't believe that he was in a relationship this whole
time, while he was leading me on.
He even kissed me!
I clenched my fists in pure anger, as I bit my lip from
crying.
"I hate you, Harry." I quivered.
I began to turn on my heel, sprinting out of the towers of
trees.
I could hear Harry shouting my name multiple times, but I ignored
him.
I ran back on the beach, but I felt someone grabbing my arm as I
ran.
I was pulled around, facing a concerned Addison and Gerald.
"Colby? What's wrong, why are you crying?" Addison
asked, frowning.
"She found out about Harry and Dani." Gerald muttered
lowly.
My eyes shot to him, as the tears spilled out.
I looked back and forth between the two, not believing what I was
hearing.
"Y-you two knew?" I asked breathlessly.
Addison and Gerald's face formed into a mixture of guilt of
pity.
"And none of you bothered to tell me." I finished.
I gulped, as I shook my head.
I began walking away from the two people that I thought were my
friends.
I began walking barefoot home.
When I got home, the lights were out, because my father was at
work.
I snuggled under my covers, still in my dress, that was slightly
dusty from the sand.
My phone vibrated many times throughout the night.
It was three in the morning when I recieved my last text; from
Harry.
I was hesitant to read it, but I forced myself to.
I'm sorry, Colby. It read.
I took in a deep breath, as I began to punch in the keys.
It's not your fault. It's mine, for falling for
you.
More tears fell out, because of my stupidity.
How could I have fallen for Harry while he had a girlfriend?
It was all my fault any of this happened.
