Mistake.
Prologue
My
name is Megan Pollard, I’m 14 years old.
I don’t have the perfect
life.
My mom’s a drug addict while my dad is
a alcoholic.
I get called ‘The mistake’,
‘Waste of space’, ‘Not
needed’.
That’s what I was known as best
‘The Mistake’.
The mistake that no one
needed.
I had great friends, the only good thing I
have in my life.
I’ve only had 3 boyfriends in my life
and the longest was 4 months, till he found out about my parents.
He said his parents didn’t want him around that sort of
stuff.
No one wanted to be around my parents, not
even myself.
If I had a better offer to stay somewhere
else, I’d take the offer in the blink of an
eye.
Once I got home I had to take care of my
parents when my dad gets so drunk I have to carry him upstairs
and put him to bed.
My mom doesn’t care about anything but
herself and drugs.
I have no clue what bought this on but
apparently it was me,
‘The mistake’. Apparently it was
the only time they forgot to use contraception.
Every now and then my dad would go out and go
clubbing and bring back women, my mom didn't care she was too
out of it to care what he did.
What 37 year old goes clubbing and takes
younger women home with them?
That’s my life. I was the bad luck the
luck no one needed.
I had to get things myself with barely any
money.
Sometimes I stole from
shops.
I’ve been caught 2 times but I keep
doing it, it's the only way I eat and survive.
