*EVIE'S POV*
My mind went into day dream mode. I wish Alec
was here this minute, everything is better with Alec
around.
Just then there were knocks at the door. My
cousin Casey came running up the stairs.
“EVIE!” Casey shouted, I sat up
and she came bouncing on my bed. I wasn’t in the mood for
Casey, don’t get me wrong she’s alright but
she’s too hyperactive just like any 8 year
old.
“Hi Casey” I said holding down my
emotions.
“Take me down to Rio’s” she
said holding out her hand, I sighed and took
it.
Rio’s was a candy store 30 minutes
away; even though I couldn’t drive we took the bikes. It
was just past Eddie’s house.
We got out the bikes while I rode moms old
bike, Casey rode my old bike. I put her in the front so I could
keep an eye on her.
Before we got past Eddie’s house I got
off and decided to walk off with the bike, just to see if he was
in.
I walked past but no one rushed out. I sighed
but suddenly I heard someone shout my name, I looked up to see
Eddie stood there.
“Wait up” he disappeared but came
downstairs and opened the door.
“Casey wait there” I said, she
braked and smiled.
“You seen facebook?” Eddie said
running his hands through his hair.
“No why?” I said, I felt my
stomach turn into a twist.
“Alec’s changed his relationship
status to single” Eddie said biting his
lip.
“Oh god no” I said
shaking.
“Come in” he said putting his
hand on my back.
“I can’t I have to take Casey to
the candy shop” I said walking off.
“She can come as well” Eddie said
trying to give some sort of smile out.
“It’s better if we
don’t” I said grabbing my bike and
pedalling.
We arrived at Rio’s where they were old
candy from years ago sat on the shelves.
“I want Nerds, Airheads, Fun Dip and
Twizzlers” she said holding them up.
“Have you got money?” I said
smiling.
“No” she squeaked “But you
love me”
She was cheeky but I do love
her.
“Fine but you’re giving me half
of your airheads” I smiled.
“Fine” she said giving me sad
puppy eyes.
Once we got home I decided to check Facebook
to see if Eddie was telling the truth and he was. The post had 34
likes; I felt my eye swell up with tears.
I never thought I’d lose Alec
especially to something like this.
I wish this didn't happen. I wish Alec stayed with me and
didn't move to England, he as his own life now and I guess I
have mine to move on with.
Maybe we'll be back together soon or maybe we won't.
I guess the only thing that can tell me is time.
Everything heals over time right?
