I used to cut... until one day my best friend, who is a guy, encouraged me to stop. It took him awhile to get me to, but he did. He gave me this idea:
Instead of cutting my wrists over all the crap my boyfriend was giving me at the time, I should draw a ♥ on my wrist and think about my best guy friend.

I've been doing that for a year now - I never let the heart fade and he's always on my mind. We're going out now. (:
