Sweet Sumertime ♥
Chapter One
Beep, beep, beep. I pressed snooze on my alarm clock for the fifth time that morning. It was the first day of summer so I figured it was ok to sleep in. Unfortunately my alarm clock, nor my little sister agreed with my logic. Every ten minutes my sister, Mary, would knock on my door yelling at me to get out of bed.
"Lucy," Mary yelled, "Get your lazy but up or I'll get it up for you!"
"I'd like to see you try," I yelled back at her.
She threw open my door and started jumping on my bed. Then she yanked my covers off my bed and started rolling me off the queen sized mattress. There was a loud thump as I fell on the ground.
"Told you I would get you up," she said and she started pulling me by my legs to the bathroom. "Now take a shower," she said, "You're taking me to Bounce N' Play for a birthday party."
Bounce N' Play was a kids place where there was lots of games and inflatable bouncy houses. In other words, a seven year olds favorite place. As a young child I would always have my birthday parties. But now I'm seventeen and the Bounce N' Play is not my number one hang out. But my parents both worked long hours so I was usually Mary's driver. I took her to soccer practice, birthday parties, and friends houses.
"Okay, okay. Get out so I can take my shower," I said.
I took a quick shower and blow dried my hair. Then I curled it and dressed in a perfectly thought out outfit. Even if I were still going to a kid's birthday party, I still had to look good. I wore an abstract, colorful top with white shorts. I also had blue flats on. I took a look in the mirror and yelled to Mary that I was ready.
I grabbed my car keys, I drove a range rover, and waited for Mary to get in. She plopped into the passenger seat and I yelled at her to get in the back. My mom would have a fit if she sat in the front seat. I drove to Bounce N' Play and Mary forced me to come inside and stay for the party. I was reluctant at first but I finally agreed to stay.
We walked into the big building and a hostess showed us to the birthday party. All of the other seven year old girls screamed and giggled when they saw Mary. They all ran off to one of the bigger bouncy houses. The mom hosting the party asked me to chaperone the kids so I followed close behind. They were running and I had to walk fast to keep up. I didn't see the worker standing in front of me until I smacked into him. I went flying to the ground.
"Oh my god, are you okay?" he asked.
I looked up at him and I was at a lost for words. He was the best looking guy I have ever seen. I was suddenly glad Mary made me come in with her.
