This is my story account, thanks for checking it out(:

I follow back if you write stories. If you don't, I'll follow you on my main account!
I'm your not-so-average teenage girl that likes to write. That's all I am, so don't expect me to write like Shakespeare. If you're looking for a professional author go to Barnes and Noble and pick yourself up a novel. If you're looking for fun stories written by a regular girl, stay here! I'm in the middle of three stories, Once Upon a Summer (a regular summer story about friendship, love, and adventure... the usual.) The Lies We Told (That's for you, PLL fans!) andd Over It. I'm focusing on Over It Right Now, and taking a break from the others. But I will continue them! Promise.

    Chapter Two, Part 1
Luckily, I didn't have any more classes with Meg before lunch. But I did have a few with Lucy and Claire. In 4th Period Language Arts, I was forced to sit between the two of them, while they were constantly texting each other and giggling to themselves.
"We're going to be doing a lot of projects in this class," Mrs. Burcham was explaining. "I want you to write two people you'd most likely want work with, and one person you absolutely can not work with."
I looked around the room. There were plenty of people I knew I could get along with in this class. Charlie Bryce hung out with my friends and I a lot, and Samantha Gregory was super nice, but I didn't know her that well. There was also Alison Reynolds, who I got pretty close with last year in Drama Club, and Malory St. John, who was quiet but really fun to talk to. The only problem would be having to decide who I didn't want to work with more-- Lucy or Claire.
I couldn't help but steal a glance at both of their papers. Of course, they had each other written down. Claire also had Charlie (big surprise. Everyone knew she'd had a crush on him since 7th grade.) But I was surprised to see that my name wasn't written as the person she couldn't work with. In stead, she put Collin Pierce, the troubled yet lovable pothead. When I looked at Lucy's paper, though, there was my name in neat, bubbly handwriting. Except, it wasn't where I had expected it to be. It was right next to Claire's. Lucy wanted to work with me.
"Maybe it's a trick," Candace considered after I explained this to my friends on the way to the cafeteria.
Sara shook her head, "Meg was acting weird this morning, too. Like nothing had ever happened! She was all, 'Oh my god, Les, I love your hair!'"
We all sat down at the usual table, the biggest in the cafeteria. It was supposed to fit 8, but we always managed 10. Julia, Candace, Sara, and I, along with Alison Reynolds, Samantha Gregory, Sierra Helms, Natalie Samuels, Kristen Fowler, Abby Jones, and Madison Lauring. Last year, before the 3-day-weekend incident, there were 11 at that table.
But now Meg sat at a smaller table of 5, with Lucy, Claire, Laura Evans, and Vanessa White. Of course, Laura and Vanessa were only replacements of us. Vanessa was leaning over, clinging to Megs words. Meg may have made Lucy and Claire top of the popular list, but Vanessa and Laura were forever wannabes.

    Chapter One, part 5
New Guy gave a tiny smile. "So, you're friend there is quite the popular one, is she?" he gestured toward Meg.
Five people were gathered at Meg's desk while she told the exciting adventure that was her summer vacation. I was glad that New Guy wasn't one of them. "Yeah..." I rolled my bright blue eyes. "You could say that." I looked over at Meg, who was currently talking about her escepades in Hawaii. "But, she's not really my friend. Her name is Lauren. If you want to know anything about anyone, just talk to her."
New Guy leaned over. His breath smelled like peppermint gum. "What if I want to talk you?" He raised his eyebrow again. "It's not normal for a person to tell someone their friend's-- sorry, 'not-really-friend's' name before their own." He shrugged, then added, "And you sure looked like you were friends."
"I guess you're right." He was completely right, I realized. In fact, I had always put Meg in front of me for everything. Walking into the room, introductions, even guys. Especially guys. That was the first thing I had ever had to give up to Lauren in the 6th grade. Alex Parker had been my first real crush, so when he told me he liked me back, it was the best feeling in the world... Until he told Meg the exact same thing, and that he liked her more. So this time, I would not let that happen. "My name's Leslie. Please don't call me 'Les' because I'm not lesbian-- not that I have anything against lesbians. My favorite color is purple, I'm half Italian, half French, and I have an adorable puppy named Melody, she knows everything about me. That is Meg, we used to be friends."
New Guy grinned and nodded in approval. "I'm Marc. And apparently I smell good. So, why aren't you guys friends anymore?"
    I sighed, "It's complicated."
"Les!" Meg excaimed the my left. "You should introduce me to your friend!" She leaned over, her boobs practically spilling out of her green Hollister tank top and gave her signature flirty three-fingered wave and wink to Marc.
I rolled my eyes. "This is Marc."
Thankfully the bell rang just as Meg was about to walk over and start seducing the poor new guy.
While Mr. Cargo was explaining the same class rules we here every year, in every class on the first day of school, I was taking notes. Of course not notes on the rules- I wasn't listening to a word he said. I was too busy scribbling down the plan.

    Chapter One, part 2
Sara snapped the picture. We all leaned in to look at the picture. For once, Meg wasn't in the middle. "Julia, you look so awesome with your braces off!" I nudged her.
"You're one to talk, Lee! You're hair is hot." That was another thing that had changed since Meg left us. We complimented each other constantly instead of continually pointing out our own flaws. Or, in Meg's case, pointing out everyone else's.
The 4 of us turned and faced the high school together, past the bustling groups of bored-looking juniors, jocks shoving each other, and make-out sesh's. It looked big and new, and full of possibilities. New school, new beginnings. "Well," Candace linked arms with me and Julia. I grabbed Sara's arm."Let's go tear this school apart." We strode up the concrete steps and pushed through a group of grungy potheads, a throng of cheerleaders, and two nervous Freshmen whispering. High school was a strange place. But I was so ready to own Freshman year.
Inside, there were even more cliques situated in their various areas throughout the commons area. I readjusted my shoulder bookbag. Sara squeezed my arm. It was so big.
"If Meg were here, she'd act like she knew this place as well as the mall." Julia whispered. She was right. Even when Meg was scared, she'd never admit. She would straighten up, put on her fiercest face, and own the room.
It wasn't like she was all bad. Meg had some really good qualities going for her. She was always confident, no matter what. Like when she had to give that huge speech in 7th grade Language Arts and messed up in front of the whole class. She made it work and laughed it off as if it was a broken nail.
She also had some amazing ability to make you feel wonderful. If she simply complimented your eyeliner it would make your day. But maybe that was just because we were all used to her bringing us down.
Meg could even be a really good friend when she wanted to. She was a fantastic listener, and always knew the right things to say to make you feel better. She'd rub your back as you cried on her shoulder and she'd make everything OK. That's why it was so hard to stay mad at her. She could be this amazing best friend that made you laugh, but the next day she'd the reason you were upset. She was a good secret keeper, too. Until that weekend.
"We don't need Meg to be confident." Candace reminded us. "Remember what she'd always say?"
I did. "Walk into the room like you own it." We said in unison. It was practically her catch phrase.

Well, I know what you're thinking. "Really, Kat? Really? Another story? Is that really necessary?" And my response to that? ...No, it isn't. But who cares? :P

    The Lies We Told
    chapter one, part 1
Noella Cartier stared at herself in the full-length mirror. Her skin looked awful and washed out, her auburn hair seemed frizzy and not shiny enough, and her eyeliner looked smudged. "The lighting in these bathrooms always makes me look so bad." She sighed, readjusting her black ruffled Bird by Juicy Couture skirt.
Aimee Klein smirked at Noella's reflection in the mirror. "Yeah... The lighting." She fluffed her silky brunette hair and smacked her gloss-covered lips.
Noella whirled around. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Come on, you know she's joking, Ell." Macy rolled her eyes. "You look fine."
The girls spent the next few seconds finishing their makeup in silence, which was interrupted by the annoying iPhone ringtone coming from Aimee's handbag.
"God," Lauren Pamfield slammed her mascara down on the sink. "Put that thing on vibrate, it's going off every 2 minutes!"
Noella hopped up onto the sink, peeking over Aimee's shoulder as she quickly hit "ignore". "Better yet," she added, "Put it on silent, since you never seem to answer it anyway."
"Yeah, who keeps calling you?" Lauren grabbed for the purple-encased phone. Aimee quickly snatched it away and dropped it into her bag.
"Some loser." She rolled her emerald eyes and puffed her hair for the 6th time in the last 3 minutes, not making eye contact with anyone besides her own reflection.
Macy jumped in, "is it that Brian kid that you blocked on Facebook?" She always remembered every detail of Aimee's petty life, almost scarily.
"Yeah, that kid." Aimee replied hesitantly. "It's so annoying."
Noella exchanged a look with Lauren. They both knew something was up. Usually Aimee would brag about her stalkers, so why was she lying like that, so obviously?
"Well, come on, we're gonna be late. Not a good impression on the first day of high school." Aimee started down the hallway, her silver heels clacking on the ground and her silky hair bouncing behind her, obviously dropping the subject. The three other girls shrugged at each other and followed. It probably hadn't meant anything anyway.

So, there you go. The very first part. A little boring, I know. But it'll get better, pinky promise!
Comment and fave, pleaseee let me know watcha think!
It was all fun and lies until someone got hurt.

    Once Upon a Summer
    Chapter One, Part One
But me and you, we're just crazy. So when I'm with you, I have fun.
-When I'm With You, Best Coast
Lindsay turned over on her towel an stared up at the sky. "Finally. I thought this summer would never come."
"Just wait," I pointed out. "It's only the first day. In about a month and 15 days you're going to be wishing it was school again." I shielded my eyes from the sun and stared at the waves. Lindsay and I were the "adventurous" ones that had laid out towels down on the slippery, sharp-looking rocks instead of the sand. Really, the rocks were a comfortable place to sit. They weren't sharp at all, but cool and round. If you looked straight ahead, it looked like you were the only person on the beach. That is, of course, if you didn't have ears and couldn't hear the shrieks and laughter behind you. The rocks were also the best tanning spot.
Lindsay stayed staring at the clouds for a minute before turning back to me. "No, El... I think this summer's gonna be different. I just have this feeling that it's going to be amazing."
I give her a "yeah, sureee" look. "Yeah, but that's what you've said every year since 5th grade." I remark.
It was true, too. Every year, everyone expects summer to be some amazing experience with romance and adventures and all those things we fantasize about before the last day of school. It always turns out the same. Not that I don't love summer. I don't mind it that way at all. Every summer since 5th grade, when Lindsay had moved to Santa Cruz, we always spent as much time possible with each other, along with our friends Lauren and Naomi. I loved the memories we would always make, and spending every summer the same way was perfectly fine with me.
"Maybe you're right. But think about it, Ellie. This is the summer before our first year of high school. That means it's the start of the best years of our lives. It has to be different." She got a dreamy Lindsay-look on her face and I knew she was imagining all the amazing things she wanted to happen this summer.
I heard an ever-so-familliar laugh behind me. "Hey, Naomi." Lindsay and I say in unison without even turning around.
"And Lauren!" A voice called from far away.
Naomi plopped down beside me and not long after Lauren came running, almost falling off the rocks into the water.
"Took you guys long enough!" I joked. "You're 20 minutes late." We had all planned to meet at the beach at 5:00 to begin our first-day-of-summer tradition.
Lindsay gives them a fake oh-my-gosh-honey-we-were-so-worried-about-you mom look, "We thought Claire drove you off a cliff or something." Claire, Lauren's older sister, was known for her awful driving.
"And you didn't notify the police or anything?!" Lauren put on a hurt face.
Naomi shooed the conversation away with her hand, her dark hair blowing into her face, "Yeah, well, anyway. You won't guess what did happen on the way here."
the tans will fade, but the memories will last forever. ♥

    Once Upon a Summer
    Prolouge
    SUMMER.
A lot of things come to mind when people think of summer- tans, the beach, friends, fairs, late nights, parties, BBQs, bonfires... Every year, everyone expects that summer to be the best one yet. And every year it never turns out like we hope it would. I've always loved summer, despite that, though. Even if it's never quite as exciting as the fantasies we concoct in those last few months of school, summer is usually the time of year that the best memories come along with.
I figured the summer before my Freshman year would be a lot of the same things as always- lots of sleepovers, beach every day, and etc. And it was, but I also got a whole lot more than I expected. That year, summer finally lived up to it's high expectations.
    ***************
Okaayy, I know it's short and didn't give very much information. Just wondering if people will read it. Fave and comment if you will! If I have 5 faves I'll continue(: If not, I'll think of a different storyline!
    xoxo, Kat
P.S. This isn't my best writing- I sorta threw it together. The actual story will be a lot better!
the tans will fade, but the memories will last forever. ♥
