I couldn’t help but smile, maybe things wouldn’t turn out so badly for us an I wouldn’t have to try to hard to steal my man back. I glanced over towards him but his eyes were already locked on me, so we strolled around the complex our hands casually colliding but his fingers never slid in between mine like the old times. It hurt to think that I had lost everything I had wanted for all these years, he was gone.

Bam. I lifted my head up and the sky opened up and it began to pour. I heard him gasp and he tilted my face up to meet his, I couldn’t believe it. Every girl would die to be kissed in the rain and I was finally getting mine.

He smiled his half smile and mumbled, “I’m sorry, I’m nervous but anyways lets take cover?”

Ugh, all was ruined, he didn’t want to kiss me. But I wasn’t just about to let it get me down so we ran holding hands back to the tent which was too over crowded for us so we turned around and ran to the playground. Side by side we sat together under the slide, soaked from our time running back and forth.

I don’t know what came over me but I decided to be brave, “damn it’s kinda cold..”

“I know really, come on we’ll stay warm together.”

Maybe this wasn’t going to be so bad after all, we were just sitting talking about our lives after the pool party until now, I had my head on his shoulder and his arm wrapped around me. It was finally picture perfect.
