Prologue
I sat on my bed, staring at my textbook. It wasn't really
easy to concentrate with Rae blasting her music in the room next
to mine. I banged on the wall, "Rae! Turn it down!" I
yelled. Of course she disregarded what I said. Typical. Just
typical. I finally gave up on homework and just
layed
down on my bed, staring at the ceiling. My room wasn't
anything special. A bed, a dresser, and a desk. White walls.
Boring, huh? I'm a foster child, and my foster parents really
could care less about what I had. They're the richest family
in town, and they adopted me so they would be known as good
people.
My thoughts were interrupted when my step-brother Luke barged in.
We were both the same age, and he was one of the popular
guys at school. I didn't care much for him, but he sure took
a lot of interest in me. "Hey Brooke," Hey winked
flirtatiously.
"Luke you're disgusting get out." I said angrily.
He slammed my door shut and locked it.
"I'll do whatever I want." He grinned. He threw a
punch at me, and I fell to the floor.
After that, was a complete blur.
