anything but a
murderer
I
dragged my suitcase with me as I went to the front door.
When I got there, I saw a short man with white hair wearing a
beige coat.
Father and my siblings were nowhere in sight.
The man turned to face me and smiled.
"The name's Jimmy Lafayette. You are?"
"E-E-Elizabeth...E-Elizabeth
Nelson." I stuttered.
"Aahh. Well. Let’s go for a ride, shall we?
"
"What are you doing here? Where's Father?"
"We shouldn’t waste any time. We can chat in the
car."
"Where is my Father?" I repeated.
“It's okay Elizabeth. I won't hurt you.
Now let me put your suitcase in the trunk."
He grabbed my suitcase before I could say anything and headed out
the door.
I trailed behind him, leaving about 4 feet of space between
us.
Was Father talking to Jimmy on the phone
earlier?
Is Jimmy a police
officer? What if
Father reported me?
Should I go with
Jimmy or run away?
I did the unexpected and I'm not sure why.
