"Miles From Home"
Chapter 1
Nicholes POV
I tried to see the good in
my life. I sat on my bed and just looked at the ceiling. I
mean I had everything I've ever wanted, A big house, my own
room, nice clothes. I just kept thinking as I rubbed my
head.
I felt some hair growing back, I looked over at my
wig.
It had long dark brown hair, I got it because it reminded
me
of my hair, before, i was diagnosed with leukemia. I got off my
bed and walked over to my dresser. I pulled out the little box
marked "Nichole's Pictures". I opened the box and
pulled the first one out.
I studied it. It was me with my long hair.
"Nichole! C'mon!" my mom screamed from the stair
case.
I quickly shoved the box in the dresser draw. I got up, looked
in the mirror, and walked out of my room.
"were gunna be late, so pick up the pace slow poke"
My mom said.
I nodded my head. I grabbed my tan uggs from the closet and walked out the
door. I put my hood up and ran to the car. I put my
uggs on
in the car.
"Its your last session of chemo, Are you
excited?"
"Yeah, im really excited!" I said while
smiling.
"I'll finally get my hair back & i can start going
out again!"
i added.
"I'm so proud of you, you know" My mom said.
"I know" I said while nodding.
(15 minutes later)
I walked into the room, There were 2 beds in it.
I looked at the kid that was on the bed next to me. He had
justin
bieber
hair cut(before he cut it) His hair was a
carmel
colored.
He looked over at me, I couldn't help but stare at his
eyes, They were a nice shade of light blue.
"so Nichole.." that doctor said. i looked away
from the boy.
"this is your last
session?"
"Yes it is" I said cheerfully.
The doctor kept asking me questions but all i wanted to do was
look at the boy next to me.
after the doctor walked out of the room, i got up to get some
water.
I pulled my phone out of my back pocket to see if i got a
text.
I walked over to the water machine and i tripped over my own
foot. I watched my phone go flying across the floor. I
picked myself up and dusted myself off.
I quickly turned to look for my phone.
"Oh sh*t!" I screamed as i turned right in the
person behind me. It was the boy!
"I'm so sorry" I said.
"No its fine, but um, heres your phone"
"Thanks, oh by the way, I'm Nichole"
"I'm Jacob" He said while smiling.
"Thanks again for saving my phone"
"I should get a reward for that..like maybe your
number?"
"Give me your phone" I said while putting my hand
out.
I took his phone and put my number in.
"Call me sometime?" I said.
"Will do" He said while smiling.
He turned and walked out of the room. I walked back over to
where my mom was.
"He's Cute" She said.
"I know" I said while laughing.
