Finding Him 23
All day I couldn't even walk through the hallways without hearing girls obsessing over the dance. Lucas didn't even mention it to me. I just assumed he didn't want to go. Meg and Lauren both got dates that day. I felt so left out. I normally met Lucas on my way to my last class but he wasn't there. I just continued walking with Meg as she told me how she was going to the dance with a senior, Derek. Honestly, I was happy for her but I just wish that it was the same way with me with Lucas. Meg leaned on the wall as I opened my locker to get my gym bag. There was a note on my locker door, it read "Go to the gym for a suprise."
"Did anyone sign it?" Meg asked me.
I flipped over the note and there was no name anywhere to be found.
I grabbed my gym bad and walked to the gym not knowing what to expect. I walked inside the gym and there was a big group of people standing around a big box wrapped in purple paper. It said EMILY on it in big black letter. I opened the box and inside was a big stuffed bear. Attached to the bear was a note that said
"Will you go to the dance with me?- Lucas". My face completely dropped.
Then I heard Lucas's voice call over to me "So, Em, about that dance Friday?".
I smiled real big and said "Yes!". Everyone around us started clapping. I ran over to Lucas and gave him a big kiss. Then I heard the crowd awe.
"Did you really think I wouldn't ask my beautiful girlfriend to the dance?" Lucas asked me. I was speechless and the butterflies in my stomach were going wild. I have the best boyfriend ever.<3.
