A Long Way From Home

Chapter 1
It was a beautiful spring day at Huntington Academy.
Everyone chanted, “Five, four, three, two, one!” It was spring break and everyone was ready to be free from homework and school.
“We are finally out of here!” Rylee exclaimed.
“At least for one week, that is.” Leila said sadly.
“Well, we won’t be so sad. My mom said that we could go camping with her and my dad.” Rylee said excitedly.
“Really, can we all go?” Lily asked.
“Of course you can all come!” Rylee answered, “We are leaving tomorrow morning. Ask your parents then text me your answers.” All of the girls pulled out their phones and called their parents. They all told their parents what Rylee had said and then hung up their phones.
“My mom said yes!” Emilie informed Rylee.
“Me too!” Leila informed everyone.
“Me three!” Lily answered.
“Me four!” Amelia said.
“Great, see you guys tomorrow at eight o’clock sharp!” Rylee said gleefully as she stepped onto the bus.
“Eight o’clock!” the girls yelled after her in disbelief. All of the girls filed onto their own buses.

When I first saw him, my first thought was...
Please oh please just notice me...
When I passed him in his garage at his party, I said hi, but he mumbled back a response...
I walked into his back yard and watched him tackle just about every other girl...
When he finally tackled me, I didn't want him to let go...
Then he ignored me again...
We played man hunt and when I was hiding...
He was all I could think about...
Then we were sitting around the fire...
He asked me if I could go sit on someone as I was probably the third smallest there...
Then after awhile he told me to sit on him...
MY GOD DID I NOT WANNA LEAVE THAT VERY SPOT!!!
But I had to...
My friend gave him my number and what do you know...
He's my boyfriend!
