"These were the winners of the contest. So they can pick the last song." The Dj announced and smiled. Then without thinking Lucas said "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not by Thompson Square." I instantly smiled."Good choice." I whipered to Lucas. We mad our way down to the dance floor as the song began. Lucas pulled me close and we began dancing. Nothing else in the world mattered at this moment. Meg was having fun, Lauren was staring into a guys eyes are they danced, and Lucas and I held eachother close. I've never felt so safe with someone before. Then Lucas whispered in my ear "You're beautiful." Then he leaned in and held my gaze. Then he lightly pecked my life. I was so happy I found him.

I followed Meg into the bathroom. Mascara was streaking down her face. She looked herself inside a stall and I heard her sobs. "Meg! I know you are in there. What happened?" I called out to her. Between sobs she managed to mumble. "He played me." The sobs grew louder. After nearly an hour I convinced Meg to come out of the stall. I mixed her make up as she explained to me what happened. Apparently her ad Derek have been talking for a while now. She thought tonight would be the night he would finally asked her out. As soon as they got on the dance floor, he left her. "Meg he already ruined your pretty makeup, don't let him ruin your night." I said trying to convince her to come dance again. After a while longer i convinced her to come back out and dance. Only ten minutes were left at this point. I found a random guy for Meg to dance with, then I went to find Lucas. He was sitting in the back corner of the room, alone. "Sorry. Meg really needed me." I said. Lucas looked up. When he saw me a small smile crossed his face. "You ready to dance?" He asked. He took my hand and lead me to the dance floor. Just as we were about to start dancing, the dj stopped the music. Go figure. "Can we have Emily and Lucas come to the stage?" The Dj asked. Whispers spread through out the room. What could this be about.

Have you ever fell in love, like head over heels, completely, and fully in love? The feeling where every time you see him is like it was for the first time. I never truly believed in love until he came into my boring little life. I never even expected it.
It all started when there was a week until school started and summer break was over. My friend Carly and I sat in my back yard thinking what we could possibly do. We just got done swimming in my pool and were sitting on a picnic table eating Doritos. We had no ideas left for summer fun. We had to except the fact a week from now we would be sitting in school. Carly laid back on her towel and looked up into the clouds. We could hear the people next door. They were being so loud. It was a new family that had moved in and I had not got the chance to introduce myself yet. I figured I would get around to it eventually.
"Wow could they get any louder?" Carly said annoyed. I just shrugged. She stood up and walked over to the radio sitting on the porch. She put the music on full volume and we continued laying on our towel soaking up some vitamin D. All I could here was the chorus of Katy Perry's "Firework" blasting full volume. Then something came flying over my wooden fence and hit me in the face. Then everything went black.
