Well
I
was
just
Angie
until
I
got
a
new
neighbor.

a
girl
my
age
moved
in
next
door
to
me
about
3
years
ago,
when
I
was
in
8th
grade.
Lexi
was
gorgeous,
and
I
don’t
really
understand
why
she
would
want
to
be
my
friend.
But
she
did.
And
we
became
bestfriends.
We
did
everything
together.
So
soon
enough,
I
wasn’t
just
Angie
any
more,
I
was
Angie
Carey,
who
was
bestfriends
with
Lexi
Carol.
But
soon
enough,
I
was
Angie
Carey,
who’s
bestfriend
disappeared.

Yeah,
that’s
right,
Lexi
disappeared
the
end
of
the
summer
of
9th
grade.
It
wasn’t
just
some
freak
thing.
I
guess
I
saw
it
coming.
Well,
not
like
I
knew
she
was
going
to
disappear,
but
I
could
feel
that
something
was
going
to
happen.
*That
summer
was
the
summer
that
everything
in
my
life
changed.
Not
just
because
of
Lexi,
but
everything
else
just
started
to
change.
It
was
all
too
fast.
And
I
guess
I
just
couldn’t
keep
up.
