The Right Way #71

               "Okay, Ryan? I'm fine now. Honestly," I said. I sat up, paused for a second to let the world settle, and stood up. He got up with me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

               "I'm so sorry, Skye. I was such an idiot. You could've been seriously hurt!" He said into my hair.

               I pulled away and looked at him in the eyes. "But I wasn't. I am perfectly fine now, see?" I stepped back and he looked me up and down appreciatively. I shook my head and laughed. "Really, you are so greedy," I said.

               I grabbed his hand and dragged him to the edge of the pool. "Go, go, go!" I yelled. I pushed him in to the pool. He flailed in the air before crashing into the water. I laughed as he popped up and wiped the water from his eyes.

               "Well, come on in," he said. I shrugged and jumped in. I jumped up and felt Ryan wrap his arms around me. "I love you," he mumbled. I giggled and leaned into his chest. He grabbed a double tube and we got in. For a littl ebit longer, we just relaxed and drifted around the lazy river.

                When we got back to the beginning of the river, we hopped out and grabbed our stuff. I quickly wrapped a towel around myself and shivered. There was a breeze and it was freezing! Ryan wrapped his towel around his waist, put on his sweatshirt, and wrapped his arms around me.

                 "You okay?" He asked, rubbing his hands up and down my arms. "Let's go back to the room, order some room service and relax. Okay?" He asked. That actually sounded perfect. I nodded and he picked me up in his arms.

                "What are you doing?" I squealed.

                "Carrying you," he said matter-of-factly. He walked around the edge of the pool carrying me and my bag full of our stuff. I just stopped talking because he obviously wasn't going to put me down. We walked into the lobby and everyone looked at us.

                "This is awkward..." I trailed off.

                "It's only awkward if you make it awkward," he smiled. I smiled back as we entered the elevator. Then he let me down but kept his arms wrapped around my waist. I clicked the button for our floor and the doors shut. He began nuzzling my neck and I felt shivers run up and down my body.

                "We're in an elevator, Ryan," I said, smiling. He was way too good for me, I thought to myself. The elevator stopped at our floor and we got off. We walked to our room slowly and he opened the door for me.

                "What do you want for dinner?" He asked.

               "Umm, I'll have a cheeseburger and fries, please," I said. "Do you want the shower first?" I asked.

               "Nah, you go first. I'll order the food," he said. I shrugged, grabbed my toiletries and a clean towel and walked into the bathroom.

                I turned the water on really warm and stepped into the shower. I took a quick shower and stepped out all fresh and clean. I wrapped the towel tight around me and picked up everything. I walked out of the bathroom and tossed my wet suit onto the floor.

                 "Hey," he smiled at me. "The food's here," he gestured to the table. There was my cheeseburger and fries with a can of Sprite. He had gotten a steak and fries and was in the middle of eating. "Wanna bite?" He asked.  I nodded eagerly and he fed me a piece of steak on his fork.

                  "Delicious!" I said. He finished and got up.

                 "I'll take my shower now. You eat and then we can relax," he said. He gave me a kiss on the forehead as he walked into the bathroom. I quickly changed into yoga pants and a tank top. I grabbed my food, sat on the bed and began eating as I waited for Ryan to finish his shower.
